- Hot burning halogen gas contained inside the bulb creates the very bright light
- Same gas that is used in car headlights
- Is compatible with all headlamps & larger flashlights
- Because of the high output battery life will be shorter
- Can be used only with Princeton Tec headlamps or flashlights that utilize 4 AA batteries
