The Uwatec Digital gauge is a very practical instrument that incorporates state-of-the-art micro-chip technology, at an extremely affordable price.
Using experience gained during the development & subsequent usage of the Aladin series of computers, the same Uwatec engineers & electronic technicians managed to compile an enormous amount of data into this compact information center.
Not only does the digital perform as a precision depth gauge, it can also display maximum depth, elapsed dive time, ascent rate (displayed as a percentage of the allowable ascent rate for any given depth) & water temperature.
If you do ascend too quickly, it will advise you to slow down. & when you are on the surface it provides a record of the pertinent data from your last nine dives.
In surface mode it continues to display the surface interval & temperature from your last dive until you make another dive or until 24 hours have elapsed. Like the Aladin computers, the Digital turns itself on automatically when it is immersed in water.
