OCT 2005:
This month saw the start of 2 new things. Not only did Deep Blue get a new Training Manager but also a new Training Website. Hopefully between the 2 of them we can cover all your queries and questions about all the training done at Deep Blue Dive Centre.

OCT 18th:
We all went to a preview of the new film, 'INTO THE BLUE' which is a new action film sponsored by PADI and is made to PADI standards and experiences. Although being a little bit far fetched to us "mear" diving instructors it was highly entertaining and recommend it to all. Its kind of crossed between 'The Fast and Furious' and a PADI video. Definately go and see it for the Sun, sea and tiger sharks!!!

OCT 22nd & 23rd:
This weekend saw some excellent diving done by our newly qualified open water divers:
Susan Cosgrove
Nicola Kent
Chris Graham
Lee Vallance
we also welcome Ian Gracie as a newly certified Rescue Diver.
It was a cold and wet weekend but lots of determination and funny jokes care of their instructors Simon Barclay and Pete Evans brought everyone through their courses with flying colours.

OCT 29th & 30th:
We all had a cracking weekend at the dive show and was impressed to see some of you down there on the stand saying hello and buying some much needed equipment. All the staff had a fab weekend and if you have a take a trip to our gallery you'll see the evidence....

NOV 5th & 6th:
We welcome David Jackson and Steve Allen as newly qualified Advanced Open Water divers. We had a fun, but very wet weekend at Capernwray but with a few amusing moments, not excluding Steve and his dry suit boots they both qualified. Well Done to you both!!!!

DEC 3rd & 4th:
Congratulations to the following students for finishing their Open Water Courses.
Andy and Chris Baron, Victoria Simon, Alan Hall, Alan Short, John Fox, Steve Kendal, Chris Brown, Anne Bulmer and Stephanie Foster. They braved the cold at Capernwray (well thats what they thought), then met a lovely lake called Ellerton where they learnt what cold was - a whopping 4º Celsius - lovely!!

NEW FOR 2006
We hope to bring new things to Deep Blue with more variety of activities and the start of the Deep Blue 'Club'.
Club Blue will be holding a Club night on the 20th January. If your interested in coming along and seeing what we have to offer then send us an email and come join in!!

JAN 20th 2006
The Club night went well with about 30 people turning up and more interested. We went over the events that we have planned for 2006 and have ahd lots of interest and lots of people signing up already.

FEB 2006
February saw the loss of one of our much loved Instructors SIMON, who jetted off to sunny climates of the west coast of OZ. You never know I might bump into in another 3 years time, god knows where this time!! Everyone at Deep Blue wishes him good luck and goodbye!!!!!

FEB 25th 2006
WE DID IT!!! and WE BROUGHT THEM ALL BACK! The dive was great, 4 groups of daredevil divers went in the shark tank at Edinburgh Aquarium and came face to face with some seriuosly scary Grey Nurse Sharks and some enormous Conga eels. Along with this lot they had dog fish, rays and lots of other fish. Everyone had a great time and we will definately be doing another one. Just email me if you are interested.

APRIL 1st & 2nd 06
Come and join us at the London Dive show 2006. We will be there in full force and would love a hello from our customers and students.

JUNE 9TH-11TH 06
This saw my first trip up to the lovely Oban and what a weekend. The sun was glaring- as my very burnt back and confirm-the mosquitos were out and the beer was flowing. It was a great weekend, everyone enjoyed themselves even the non divers and the BBQ was definatley the high light of the weekend. We did a few shore dives to ease ourselves in then went on the rib out to the Thesis and the Breeder which were fabulous. We will be definately be going back soon.

JUNE 24th 06
This saw 16 brave souls head to Edinburgh Aquarium to once again dive with the sharks. this time it was for a good cause and I think that we raised around £1000 for MENCAP between us.
